Baby Holden doesn’t stand a chance coming behind these two lady front runners. They are clearly running the show and like most third children, he will happily follow suit. Hanging with the Wilcox family meant jumping on the trampoline and pulling each other along in the red wagon. Seeing little sister Milanka watch big sister Nyala jump on the trampoline and then get up the courage to jump herself and jump with pride and joy are the moments where you are happy to have a lens in hand. Their Poland-native mother wanted a family session because she felt that my photographs were like poetry to her. That affirmation alone made me want to stay and shoot this family all afternoon, because snapping poetry while jumping on the trampoline is just an unbeatable combo.
